Paint is applied at room temperature where the initial color is PURPLE. After 5 minutes at temperature the original color will change to the colors as listed below depending on the temperature.

1st temp change - Purple to Pale Blue/Grey after 5 min @ 570°C/1,058°F
2nd temp change - Grey to Dark Blue/Grey 5 min @ 630°C/1,166°F
3rd temp change - Dark Blue/Grey to Blue 5 min @ 850°C/1,562°F
4th temp change - Blue to Midnight Blue 5 min @ 970°C/1,778°F
5th temp change - Midnight Blue to Matt Black 5 min @ 1,050°C/1,922°F
6th temp change - Matt Black to Matt Black Glaze 5 min @ 1,070°C/1,958°F
7th temp change - Matt Black Glaze to Dark Blue Glaze 5 min @ 1,270°C/2,316°F

If the paint is not used for a number of months it may start to dry out. It can be re-vitalized by mixing in a PMA paint solvent.

Apply to a blast cleaned and de-greased surface, no primer is necessary. Apply one coat, allowing to touch dry to 15-30 minutes. Best thermal mapping is achieved by an even coat of paint. The preferred application method is spraying. The paint may be thinned to spraying viscosity by the further addition of thinners. Removal of the paint can be achieved by using solvents or an abrasive disc.
