Multi-Change Paint MC215-6 supplied in 1 liter container.
Paint is applied at room temperature where the initial color is PURPLE.
After 5 minutes at temperature the original color will change to the colors as listed below depending on the temperature.
1st temp change is from Purple to Pink after 5 min @ 390°C/734°F
2nd temp change is form Pink to Cream 5 min @ 490°C/914°F
3rd temp change is from Cream to Blue 5 min @ 610°C/1,130°F
4th temp change is from Blue to Grey 5 min @ 890°C/1,634°F
5th temp change is from Grey to Matt Black 5 min @ 1,020°C/1,868°F
6th temp change is from Matt Black to Matt Black Glaze 5 min @ 1,050°C/1,922°F
If the paint is not used for a number of months it may start to dry out. It can be re-vitalized by mixing in a PMA paint solvent.
Estimated highest temperature the paint can be subject to without a color change is 120°C
1st Coat touch dry in 15 -50 minutes. Allow a min. of 20 minutes before test
A COLOUR CHANGE CAN BE DETERMINED AFTER 10 MINUTES HEATING @ 215°C
Apply to a blast cleaned and de-greased surface, no primer is necessary. Apply one coat, allowing to touch dry to 15-30 minutes.
Best thermal mapping is achieved by an even coat of paint. The preferred application method is spraying. The paint may be thinned to spraying viscosity by the further addition of thinners.
Removal of the paint can be achieved by using solvents or an abrasive disc.
