All physical sensors become less accurate due to the environment, usage, stress, and even time. The degree to which these changes occur varies from device to device. For example, a voltage device will drift very little over the years whereas a humidity sensor can drift significantly in several weeks if subjected to a corrosive environment. Or, temperature sensors open/fail if dropped or exposed to extreme temperatures.

Re-calibration Process Overview:

Call 1-800-TIP-TEMP with your thermometer's serial number(s) to calibrate, or place a calibration order online!

TIPTEMP will email the instructions on how/where to send your thermometer(s). The email will provide an order number that will act as an RMA to send your device(s) in to our Calibration Lab.

A confirmation will be emailed indicating receipt of your device(s). Payment terms will be determined by the client's account status (credit card, Net 30, etc.).

Our Calibration Lab will test, evaluate, and write up a new certification base on the test results. Standard certifications are good for a 12 month period before retesting is required. Typical turnaround time is 1-2 weeks.
