Hydrogen Flame Generators
“Amazing,” you say? “Fire from water? But how?” Well, it’s not magic, and it’s simpler than you think.
Here’s how it works: Distilled water is two parts hydrogen and one part oxygen. Using Hydrogen Flame Generators, the water is added to an electrolytic liquid. Combine that with electricity and the water is dissociated into hydrogen/oxygen gas—the “fuel” that gives the torch its unprecedented power. No separate tanks of fuel gases are required. And just what makes the flame so superior? The Hydrogen Flame Generators 6,000°F flame is better than other gas combinations used today because its intensity is focused in the axial direction, making the lateral heat minimal. Because all the heat is out front, there is very little heat generated on the sides. So all the power is where it’s supposed to be, in the tip, and minimal energy is lost getting there! By varying torch tip size and gas pressure, the flame length may be adjusted from .01″ to 6″ through tips with openings from .003″ to .042″. With this flexibility, the Hydrogen Flame Generators are especially useful in applications where clean burning and close flame control are needed, and is effective on metal thicknesses ranging from .0005″ to .25″. For applications where torch temperatures of less than 6000° are necessary, an alcohol Booster is supplied. The introduction of alcohol vapor lowers flame temperature to 4000-4500°F while increasing heat energy output. The Hydrogen Flame Generators are easy to use for glass polishing, hole drilling in quartz and ceramics, as well as thin metal cutting.
