OPERATION 1. To turn the thermometer on slide the ON/OFF switch to the ON position. 2. To measure in Fahrenheit select the “F” position of the F/C switch or “C” to measure in Celsius. 3. Remove the protective plastic sleeve of the thermometer probe and insert the probe into the material to be measured. 4. To turn the thermometer off slide the ON/OFF switch to the OFF position. To conserve battery life, always turn the unit off when not in use.
If this unit does not function properly for any reason, replace the battery with a new high-quality battery (see “Battery Replacement” section). Low battery power can occasionally cause any number of “apparent” operational difficulties. Replacing the battery with a new fresh battery will solve most difficulties.
