Making a Purchase
Placing an order is simple: browse our store, add items to your cart, then proceed to Checkout or request a Quote.
Accepted Payment Methods
- ACH Transfer / Business Check / Wire Transfer – Always accepted with no fees. These are our preferred payment methods. To set up ACH or request remittance details, email accounting@tiptemp.com or call 1-800-TIP-TEMP.
- Credit Cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express) – Accepted with a 3.5% processing fee applied to the total transaction for orders over $250..
- Purchase Orders (on credit approval) – We accept credit references to prepare for Net 30 terms.
International Orders
- First-time international orders require wire transfer.
- Upon credit approval, subsequent orders may qualify for Net 30 terms.
- Minimum order requirement: $250 USD (except Canada).
- If we are unable to ship to your location, we will notify you.
Pricing
All pricing is subject to change without notice. Orders over $400 require a signed PDF order confirmation before processing.
Shipping to a Different Address
To avoid delays, please add alternate shipping addresses with your card issuer. If not pre-authorized, your order may be held until verification is complete.
We only charge for items shipped; backordered items are billed when shipped.
Wire & Heater Orders: Shipping tolerance: -0% / +10% of quantity ordered.
Minimum Order Policy: $16. Orders under this threshold may incur a $10 handling fee.
Shipping & Handling
- Charges are determined at the time of shipment based on UPS/FedEx size and weight.
- A $25 handling fee may apply to orders under $100.
- Hazardous or oversized items are excluded from flat-rate shipping.
- Shipping and handling fees are non-refundable.
Insurance: UPS and FedEx include $100 coverage. Additional insurance is billed to the customer. Title and risk of loss transfer to the buyer once goods are delivered to the carrier.
Delivery Schedule
Most orders ship within 1–3 business days. If delays occur, we will notify you by phone or email. For urgent orders, call 1-800-TIP-TEMP.
Backorders
If an item cannot ship within 10 business days, we will backorder it. Backorders may be canceled upon request.
Credit Card Security
All credit card data is transmitted securely with 128-bit SSL encryption. Information is decrypted only upon receipt and is never stored unencrypted.
Guarantee / Warranty / Liability
- Most instruments include a one-year warranty, unless otherwise noted.
- Thermocouples, RTDs, and other sensors carry a limited warranty prior to installation.
- TIPTEMPerature and its suppliers are not liable for incidental or consequential damages. Liability is limited to the original cost of the product.
Use of products is at the buyer’s risk. Buyer is responsible for determining product suitability for their intended use.
Privacy Policy
Customer information is never shared with third parties except as necessary for order fulfillment.
Cancellation & Return Policy
- Special Order items may be canceled within 72 hours; cancellation fees may apply. Once received, Special Orders are non-returnable if non-defective.
- Custom sensors (thermocouples, RTDs, etc.) are non-cancelable and non-returnable.
- Non-defective returns must be requested within 30 days, unopened, and in original packaging. Restocking fees up to 25%–50% may apply.
- Defective items will be repaired or replaced per manufacturer policy.
- Return Authorization (RA) is required for all returns. Call 609-239-1900 or email accounting@tiptemp.com to obtain an RA.
- International customers must ship returns freight and duty prepaid.
Wireless Notice & Disclaimer
Wireless products are approved for use in the U.S. and Canada. Buyers outside these regions must ensure compliance with local regulations.
