Reversible Temperature Labels have a maximum temperature range of 120°C / 248°F. Above that temperature the thermochromic inks will begin to breakdown. The label can be exposed to brief periods of temperature >250°F but overtime the label will begin to degrade. As of 2018-2019 we do not know of any reversible temperature changes inks that can withstand temperatures above 250°F
Apply the label to clean dry surface. When the temperature of the equipment the label is attached begins to rises above 50°C / 122°F the "HOT HAND" symbol / message will appear. Note: At 70-75C the red will turn back to black again. Exposing this label to temperatures above 248°F / 120°C will permanently damage the thermochromic inks and the label may not perform accurately.
