Knowing the correct temperature has been maintained is critical to the cold chain. The FreezeSafe™ indicator provides accurate evidence if a product has experienced unfavorable low temperatures. This cost-effective solution allows you to add an indicator to every shipment or mount it directly onto the product. Easy to use, FreezeSafe turns from white to magenta when the temperature falls below the calibrated threshold. A simple visual check alerts the recipient of the indicator is performed, it alerts the recipient to perform additional inspections or quarantine.

​​​​​​Using the FreezeSafe:

1. The FreezeSafe indicator should appear clear prior to use. The FreezeSafe does not require special arming to be ready to use.

2. Remove the FreezeSafe indicator from the roll and adhere the indicator to a clean, dry surface.
  • ( a. The FreezeSafe should be located as close to the product being monitored as possible and where it will be visible to the receiver of the monitored shipment.
  • ( b. The FreezeSafe can be adhered directly to the product being monitored or located inside the packaging. Interpreting the FreezeSafe: When the FreezeSafe is exposed to temperatures below the stated activation temperature ±1°C*, the indicator will turn from clear to magenta.

  • The FreezeSafe will respond according to the statement below:
  • 0°C  Full color change within 30 minute
  • 2°C Full color change within 90 minute

  • Storage Recommendations:
    FreezeSafe indicators should be stored out of direct light between 15 and 25°C / 59 and 77°F 0°C Within 30 minutes 2°C Within 90 minutes
